Extends double-double streak
Sabonis led the NBA in double-doubles in the 2023-24 season, and it wouldn't be surprising if he reaches that feat again in 2024-25 given how he's started the season. Even though he's getting fewer touches on offense following the offseason addition of DeMar DeRozan, Sabonis continues to find ways to make an impact. He has six double-doubles in seven contests while averaging a robust 20.7 points and 13.4 rebounds per game.

Keeps scoring streak alive
DeRozan has adjusted to a new offensive scheme alongside new teammates seamlessly, and the veteran has been playing at a high level ever since he stepped on the court with a Sacramento jersey. He's scored at least 20 points in every game this season while shooting an impressive 52.9 percent from the field.

Dazzles in win over Miami
Fox is believed to be playing under a minor pinky injury, but the ailment hasn't bothered the star floor general thus far. Even though Fox opened the 2024-25 season with a subpar (for his standards) showing, he's been his usual dominant self overall, surpassing the 20-point mark in all but one of his last seven contests while averaging 25.7 points, 5.8 rebounds and 4.7 assists per game in that span.

Checks back in
Sabonis was spotted making his way to the locker room after taking a blow to the face, but he was only absent for a few minutes. The team could have more information on the extent of the injury after the game, but it's evidently not serious enough to keep him from the rest of Monday's clash.

Heads back to locker room Monday
Sabonis took a blow to the face and left for the locker room with a towel covering his head. The big man's status will be something to monitor as it is still early in the game, though Alex Len and Trey Lyles are both candidates for an increased role if Sabonis is unable to return.
