Strong double-double in loss
Allen recorded his fourth double-double of the playoffs while adding at least three blocks for just the third time all season. With Evan Mobley sidelined due to an ankle injury, Allen played as the lone big, affording him an opportunity to play closer to the basket. There is no word on whether Mobley will return for Game 3, although given the Cavaliers now trail 2-0, he will likely be given until the last minute to prove his fitness.

Comes up short in spot start
Jerome moved into the starting lineup as a result of multiple absences from the regular rotation. Although it has been a breakout season for Jerome, he was unable to provide anything of value in what was a disappointing loss. Darius Garland has now missed four straight games and despite the urgency, could certainly be sidelined once again for Game 3. Jerome is likely to continue playing a key role but will need to increase his production with the series now shifting to Indiana.

Game-high 48 points not enough
Mitchell was a force on the offensive end, scoring a game-high 48 points, albeit in a losing effort. The Cavaliers led for the entire game before going to sleep down the stretch. The fact the team was without three key pieces, namely Darius Garland (toe), Evan Mobley (ankle) and D'Andre Hunter (thumb), shouldn't be overlooked. However, given that Cleveland led by 20 points at one point, it will be viewed as one that got away.
